Description
The Coach House, located to the south of Battle House, dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of chequered brick with some ashlar dressings. The building features an original stone slate roof on the right, which is hipped at the west end, and a 19th-century Bridgwater tile roof on the left with an altered brick gable at the east. It is a single storey with a loft.
The gabled center of the coach house has two arched coach entries, with the arches supported by ashlar plinths, imposts, and keystones. There is a boarded gable opening that also features ashlar voussoirs and a keystone. On the right side, there is a hipped eaves dormer on the end wall, and the front has a stable door flanked by windows that have ashlar lintels and keystones, although the doorway has been altered. The left side mirrors this with a similar stable door and flanking windows, also with ashlar lintels and keystones. Additionally, there is a mounting block located by the east end wall.
