10/32 Two monuments west of churchyard path, south of south west angle of Church of St Nicholas

GV II

Two chest tombs, mid C18 and early C19, ashlar. From north: a) Hancock memorial, mid C18, with 2 shield plaques each side, fluted pilasters to centre and angles, moulded base and cornice broken forward over pilasters. Armorial cartouche at east end. Inscription to William Hancock. B) Burten memorial, early C19 with 2 plaques each side, recessed centre and angle piers, with husk drops to angles, paired husk drops to centre pier. Moulded base and cornice with fluted frieze broken forward over plaques. Inscription to John Burten.
