Description
The coach house, located to the northwest of Helbeck Hall, dates from the same period as the hall. It is constructed of coursed rubble with rusticated quoins and features cavetto moulding along the eaves. The hipped roof is covered with graduated slate and has a corniced stone chimney at the west end. The building is two storeys high and consists of six bays. It is mostly symmetrical, except for a segment-headed coach entrance on the left, which has been blocked and fitted with a window. The remaining bays contain sash windows with glazing bars set in stone surrounds. A pediment above the central two bays features a quatrefoil window. Additionally, there are three 20th-century garage doors and a single-storey extension at the rear, also from the 20th century.
