Description

This is a former mill bridge, likely from the 18th century, located to the south of Mill House over Swindale Beck in Market Brough. The bridge features a single 15-foot span with a segmental arch. The parapets, which are splayed at either end, are constructed of coursed rubble and have rough-dressed triangular copings. The original cobbles of the 8-foot wide roadway are now partially covered with tarmac.
