Description

Harglade is a house dated 1719, located on Upper Market Street in Market Brough. It features coursed, squared rubble with quoins and a Welsh slate roof topped with stone end chimneys. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. On the left side, there is a full-height 20th-century bay window. To the right, a part-glazed door is framed by an architrave, with two sash windows on each floor, all featuring glazing bars in their original architraves. These windows were formerly two-light mullioned windows. The house has undergone later additions and alterations.
