Description

Highfield is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed rubble and features quoins on a boulder plinth. The stone-flagged roof has stone end chimneys. The building is two storeys high, with a central part-glazed door framed by an original architrave. There is a single late 19th-century sash window inserted on either side of the door, and three additional sash windows above. The remains of original mullioned windows and a second door can be seen, although they are currently blocked.
