Description

The clock tower, located on a traffic island at the junction with Market Street in Market Brough, was built in 1911 to commemorate the coronation of King George V. It is constructed from coursed sandstone blocks and has a square plan. The tower features two stages, with blind pointed arches on each side of the lower stage and a clock with louvred openings on each side of the second stage. At the top, there is a tapering column with an impost block that supports a pointed finial.
