Description

This chest tomb, located about 6 metres west of the tower of the Church of St. Michael in Shepton Beauchamp, dates back to at least 1732, although the inscriptions are largely worn away. It is made of dressed stone and features a plinth that is buried. The tomb has an oblong shape with fluted pilasters and a hipped slab top that is moulded around the lower edge.
