Description
Shepton Beauchamp Church of England Primary School is a school built in 1856. It features coursed and squared rubble with freestone dressings, coped verges, and a tile roof adorned with fishscale banding and some cresting along the ridge. A painted zinc ventilator and two brick stacks, one set on an ashlar base, are also present. At the ridge, there is a diagonally-set bellcote topped with a louvred and shingle spirelet that has an iron crest. The building is designed in a High Victorian free Tudor style and has an L-plan layout. It is a single-storey structure with three bays on the road frontage, each bay containing a high-set 4-light stone-mullioned window with cusped heads. Between the bays are two 2-stage buttresses, and diagonal buttresses are located at the angles. Additionally, there is a tall 4-light transomed window on the left return and a wing at the rear.
