Description
This building is a school constructed in 1856. It is made of coursed ironstone rubble and features a grey tiled roof with stone coped gables, kneelers, and small gable terminations. Atop the building is a tall hexagonal bell turret, which has openwork panels with cusped ogee heads and a tall, slender hexagonal roof topped with a weathervane. The school is a single storey with a five-bay front.
To the right, there is a projecting gabled bay that includes two-stage angle buttresses and a tall pointed window consisting of three cusped lights, two lower transoms, perpendicular tracery, and a hoodmould with large ornate labelstops. Above this window is a ribbon-type scroll, flanked by two similar, longer scrolls with weathered lettering. Adjacent to the right of the projecting bay is a single plain bay. To the left, there are four long windows with transoms and mullions, each featuring two cusped ogee-headed lights and rectangular hoodmoulds. The windows are separated by two-stage buttresses.
