Description

The stable building, located 8 metres north of No. 96 (Mill Cottage), dates from the 19th century. It is constructed from Ham stone ashlar and features double Rowan clay tiles beneath coped gables, with a projecting dormer on the west side. The building is single-storey with a loft and has five bays on its west flank. Bays one and two contain large segmental arched doorways, while bay three has a smaller door and another door above in the loft dormer. Bay four features a casement window with an exposed timber lintel, and bay five has another segmental arched doorway. On the south gable at first floor level, there are two 2-light chamfered mullioned windows with labels. The interiors have not been inspected. This stable building is part of a significant group of local historic interest alongside the mill and house.
