House About 8 Metres North North West Of Stapleton Croft And Front Boundary Railings

This building is a house dating from the early 19th century, located about 8 metres north-north-west of Stapleton Croft. It features a near-ashlar ham stone facade, with coursed rubble on the sides and rear, and is topped with a Welsh slate roof that has stepped coped gables and brick chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has two bays. It includes horizontal bar casement windows with three lights, where the central light is wider, and a six-panel door located in the lower bay of the second bay, all set in plain openings. There is a later extension with a catslide clay pantiled roof and a brick chimney stack. The interior has not been seen. A low stone wall with twisted arrowhead railings extends from the north-west corner across the front of the house, leading to a matching gate opposite the door, which contributes to the setting of the house and the streetscape. The building is included primarily for its group value due to its important corner position.
