Description

This is an 18th-century house located on the north-west side of High Street in Ketton. The front of the house is constructed of ashlar stone, while the rest of the building is of coursed rubble, including ironstone. It has a roof of Collyweston stone slate, with stone chimney stacks at the ends. The house is two storeys high with a three-window front, featuring a double-fronted design. A shallow doorcase has pilasters and a cornice above the entrance. The windows are 6/6 sash windows with cills and double keystones. A small window is located in the south gable, at attic level. A gabled addition, half a storey in height, extends to the rear, along with a gabled dormer window. The dormer is dated 1899, although the date 1822 is also possible. The rear addition has a stone chimney stack, which has been heightened with brick.
