Description
Buckworth House is a house dated 1741. It features an ashlar front and left gable end, with a coursed rubble right gable end. The roof is made of Collyweston stone slate and has coped gables and moulded stone end stacks. The house is two storeys high with attics. The ground floor has four windows, while the first floor has three windows, with the central one being blind. There are two hipped 2-light casement dormers and a cornice. The ground floor windows are 6/6 sash windows set in plain recessed architraves, while the first-floor windows are in plain flush architraves. The entrance is located in a 20th-century extension that includes a porch on the right, possibly replacing the original entrance, which may have been one of the ground floor windows. A datestone reads "L) SMITH 1741. M)."
