Description
Nos 14 and 14A on Redmiles Lane is a farmhouse and cottage that have been combined into one dwelling. It dates from the early 18th century and is built of coursed rubble with a Collyweston stone slate roof. The building features parapeted gables and stone end stacks topped with brick capping.
The main house has two storeys and an attic, with a width of three windows. It has a central door that is set beneath a chamfered timber lintel and features a 19th-century gabled head. Above the door, there is a two-light 20th-century window, and the rest of the windows are three-light 20th-century versions, all beneath similar lintels. The house also has three gabled two-light casement dormers with leaded panes.
To the left, the cottage is one storey with an attic and has two 20th-century windows beneath timber lintels, with the right window replacing a door. Above the cottage, there is a two-light gabled dormer.
