Description

This is a late 17th- to early 18th-century former farmhouse, now a pair of cottages located on Oxford Square. The building is constructed of rubble stone with a steeply pitched roof covered in asbestos tiles. It features one end and central brick stacks. The building is divided into two sections: No. 9, which is one bay wide, and No. 11, which is two bays wide. No. 9 has a two-pane, three-light casement window on the upper floor and a similar window on the ground floor, the ground floor window protected by a wooden lintel. A plank door is set beneath a gabled porch. No. 11 has a gabled dormer centrally positioned on the roof, containing casements of a similar style. It also has similar casements to those in No. 9, and a hipped porch covered in asbestos tiles, with a plank door and a three-pane, four-light casement window.
