Description

Nos 14 and 14A on Station Road are a pair of cottages built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed stone and topped with a stone slate roof. The cottages are two storeys high and feature a double-depth layout with two single cells. Each cottage has a four-light flat-faced mullioned window with slightly recessed mullions to the left of the doorway, which has tie-stone jambs and a simple pedimented hood made from two projecting slabs. Above the doors, there are two-light windows that have been inserted to match the original style. The cottages have coped gables with stacks and kneelers, along with an additional central stack on the ridge.
