Description
Falconers Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the early 18th century. It is constructed of ham stone ashlar and has a single Roman clay tile roof with stepped coped gables, along with brick chimney stacks at the ends and in the middle. The building is two storeys high and has four bays. The windows are thin ovolo-mould mullioned windows with three lights, except for the outer lower bay which has four lights. These windows are rectangular, leaded, and feature iron-framed opening lights. The lower bay two has a six-fielded panel door set in an architraved recess, topped with a hood mould.
There are 19th-century extensions to the north gable, which include a two-level section with a three-light segmental-arched casement featuring small panes, followed by a stable building with a loft above. Additional 19th-century extensions are located at the rear of the farmhouse. Surrounding the front garden is an ashlar boundary wall that varies in height from one to three metres. This wall has a plinth and thin angled timber gates, all of which contribute to the overall setting of the house.
