Description
Lower Witcombe Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from ham stone that resembles ashlar and features a thatched roof with a coped gable on the south side and a half-hipped roof on the north. The building has brick chimney stacks with traditional baffles.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and consists of four bays. Most of the windows are hollow-chamfered mullioned windows, with three lights in the lower and upper bay three, while the other bays have two-light windows. There is an additional two-light window to the left of lower bay one and a cusped-traceried oval window in lower bay two, with labels above all lower windows except for the oval window. The south gable has later mullioned windows, and there is an outshut with an entrance at the rear. The north gable features a three-light and a two-light mullioned window. The interior has not been seen.
