Description
No. 2 Priory Road is a house, now used as offices with a flat above, located on a triangular corner site. It dates from around 1800 and is built of fine-jointed red brick with Bath stone dressings. The roof is made of Welsh slate and is hidden by a parapet, while the rear wings are constructed from rubble with double-Roman tiles and feature brick chimney stacks.
The exterior of the building has three storeys and five bays, divided into three and two. It has a stone plinth, rusticated plain pilasters, a cornice, and a plain coped parapet. On the ground floor, there are two modern small-pane shop window units, along with an original semicircular arched rusticated stone door surround in bay two, which includes a cast-iron fanlight. The upper floors feature sash windows, with 12-pane windows on the first floor and 9-pane windows on the second floor. These windows are set in plain openings with gauged brick flat arches, although the arches for bays four and five have a different pattern. The interior has not been inspected.
