Description

This listing covers three properties at numbers 82, 84, and 84A on Staple Grove Road, forming the end of a terrace. Dating from the early to mid-19th century, the properties are three storeys high. The left-hand property is partially stuccoed, while the right-hand property is roughcast. A prominent bow window, featuring an eaves cornice and blocking course that extends through all three storeys, is situated on the left-hand property. The buildings feature plain bands and pilasters, and are topped with slate roofs. There are two canted bays that extend through two storeys on number 84, and ground-floor canted bays on number 82. The windows are sash windows, with five in total, each a three-light design. Some glazing bars are missing from the centre windows. A rounded doorway with an open pediment projects forward in the centre of number 84, while a trellis porch is attached to number 82. Nos. 64 to 84 (even) and No. 84A are considered to form a cohesive group.
