Description

STAPLEGROVE ROAD 1. 5365 (North-East Side) The Cottage ST 2225 6/383 II GV 2. Set back from the road between Nos 82 and 84. Probably mid C19 stable block and contemporary with Swiss Cottage in Linden Grove. 2 storeys. Rubble walls with red brick dressings. The centre rises to form a pediment. Old tile roof. Projecting eaves with brackets. 3 windows, mostly sashes with glazing bars. Double doors in centre and single doors to left and right.

Nos 86 to 90 (even), the Summerhouse at Language Centre The Cottage and the Swiss Cottage in Linden Grove form a group together with Weir House, Weir Lodge and Gatepiers.
