Description

The Cottage is a building likely dating from the mid-19th century, originally serving as a stable block and situated set back from Staplegrove Road between Nos 82 and 84. It is two storeys high, constructed with rubble walls featuring red brick dressings. The central section of the building rises to form a pediment, topped with an old tile roof. The eaves project and are supported by brackets. The Cottage has three windows, primarily sash windows with glazing bars, along with double doors in the center and single doors on either side. It is part of a group that includes Nos 86 to 90 (even), the Summerhouse at the Language Centre, Swiss Cottage in Linden Grove, Weir House, Weir Lodge, and the Gatepiers.
