Description

This is a terrace of six houses, numbered 64 to 70, located on Staplegrove Road. They were built in the mid-19th century and are partly altered. Number 64 is set back slightly from the others. The houses have two-storey stucco facades with slate roofs, although the right-hand side of the roofs have bitumen. There’s an eaves band and plain pilasters. Numbers 66 and 68 have three-light canted bay windows. The windows are sash windows with some glazing bars. The entrances are round-headed, with one altered to feature an open pediment. Number 70 has a trellised verandah. Modern ground floor bow windows and a porch have been added to Number 64. The buildings are included on the list primarily for their group value. Numbers 64 to 84 (even) and 84A are also grouped together.
