Description
This is a chest tomb dating from 1587, located in the churchyard adjacent to the south chancel of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Ditcheat. The tomb is made of dressed stone and features a large, squat design consisting of stone slabs set on a slab base. It has a massive chamfered slab top. The south side of the tomb has a decayed inscription that includes the date "1587," while there is a further 17th-century inscription on the west end.
