Description

This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 1 metre east of the porch of the Church of St Mary Magdalene. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of stone. The tomb features a flat lid with a moulded edge, decorated with an egg and dart pattern on cyma moulding along the sides. The ends of the tomb are shaped like lyres, framing an oval design. At ground level, there is a plain chamfer plinth. The original inscription is illegible, but there is a later inscription on the east end.
