Description

This chest tomb, dating from the early to mid-18th century, is located approximately 15 meters northeast of the west end of the Church of St. Mary Magdalene in Geddington. It is constructed from limestone ashlar and features a moulded plinth and cornice, along with a slightly cambered lid. The tomb has corner pilasters adorned with foliage drops and moulded recessed panels situated between fielded panels on the south side, while the north side has two fielded panels. Additionally, there are cherub's heads above swags on both the east and west sides. The inscription on the tomb is no longer legible.
