Description
Hill Croft is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and squared coursed limestone, topped with a Collyweston stone slate roof, featuring brick ridge and lateral stacks.
It has two storeys and a four-window range, following a cross passage plan. On the ground floor, there are two tripartite sash windows, a 20th-century door set in an ashlar porch with a four-centred head that is slightly corbelled out and has a cornice, as well as 20th-century garage doors. The first floor features two tripartite sash windows, a single sash window, and a three-light small-paned casement window, all with stone and wooden lintels. The rear of the building has an ashlar gable with coping and a moulded stone end stack.
