Description

No. 4 West Street is a cottage that likely dates back to the 17th century and has been altered over time. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with some ironstone mixed in, and features a brick stack at the right gable end. The building stands two storeys tall. On the ground floor, there are two small-paned, three-light casement windows from the 20th century, each with wooden lintels, and there are indications of earlier openings beneath them. The first floor contains two two-light casement windows, also with wooden lintels. A door on the right gable end has been blocked, while the current entrance is located in a 20th-century addition at the rear. This cottage is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
