Description
Markes Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 5 metres west-south-west of the porch of the Church of St Mary. It dates from the 17th century and is made of Ham stone. The tomb features a moulded base, plain sides and flanks, and cyma-recta coving leading to a heavy flat top. It commemorates Richard Markes, who died in 164-.
