Description
The Old Rectory is a former rectory that has been converted into a private hotel, likely built in the 18th century. It is constructed from roughly cut and squared local stone and features a thatched roof with coped gables. The east gable includes a gablet and a ball finial, along with brick chimney stacks. The building has a 'T'-shaped plan and stands two storeys high with a six-bay south elevation that faces the road. The windows are small-pane casements with three lights, each adorned with stone voussoired flat arches. The fifth bay has a plain, slightly projecting gable with a chimney at the top. In the fourth bay, there is a part-glazed door set within a 20th-century lean-to porch that has a pantiled roof. A 20th-century window has been inserted at ground floor level on the east gable. The interior has not been seen.
