GV II

Range of farmbuildings at Townsend Farm (qv). C18 and C19. Red sandstone random rubble, and blue lias, partly roughcast, half hipped slate roof at northern end, corrugated iron roof adjoining, other buildings slate roofed. Plant long range of buildings backing onto road lying north west-south east comprising from north end loft over stable, byre, double barn and outbuildings abutting Townsend Cottages (qv) at south end, in all about 90 m in length. 2 unglazed wooden mullioned windows to loft over stable, 2 segmental headed openings to byre, double doors to barn, otherwise unlit. Foldyard side only partially sighted. Primarily listed for the contribution to the street scene made by the rear elevation of these farabuildings.
