Description

This barn, located next to the entrance of a car park and marked on Ordnance Survey maps as Old Barn, dates from the late 15th century and has undergone later alterations. It is constructed from random rubble with squared rubble quoins and features a coped verge on the west side. The south elevation includes a 2-light 20th-century casement window on the first floor. Access to the first floor is provided by a door opening on the west side, which is reached by a flight of rubble steps and has a plank door. The roof structure consists of two upper crucks, one with a tenoned joint and the other true, along with arch bracing and windbraces.
