Description

Nos 5 and 7 on High Street are two shops dating from the 16th or 17th century, which were refronted in the early 19th century. The buildings are rendered with a pantile roof and stand three storeys high, featuring four bays with flush mounted 12-pane sash windows. The ground floor has two 20th-century shop fronts; the left one includes a half-glazed door, while the right has two centrally recessed half-glazed doors. Beneath the refronting, the structure is likely of timber-framed construction, with evidence of jettying visible on Number 7.
