Description
Nos. 10 and 12 High Street is a house and shop built in the mid-19th century. The exterior features rough cast that is scribed to resemble ashlar, with end pilasters and a slate roof that has wide eaves and two brick ridge stacks. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical façade with two bays on each side. The first floor has 16-pane sash windows, with the windows of number 10 adorned with decorative cast-iron balconies and stepped voussoirs. Number 10 also has a similar sash window on the ground floor, while number 12 features a large shop window. There are two door openings with six-panelled doors; the top four panels of the door to number 10 are glazed, and both doors have fanlights with radiating glazing bars. To the left, there is a broad segmental-headed archway with a key-stone and double plank doors.
