Description

No. 17 High Street is a house and shop dating from the early 19th century. The building is rendered and features a slate roof with wide eaves. It has two storeys and two bays, with flush mounted 16-pane sash windows on the first floor, which are adorned with stepped voussoirs. The ground floor has a late 19th-century shop front that includes paired central half-glazed doors, with a pilaster on each side. Fluted consoles support a dentilled fascia above the shop front. The core of this building is likely medieval in origin.
