STAPLEGROVE ROAD (North-East Side) Fairwater

GV II

A large Georgian house now in the grounds of Taunton School. Three storey stucco south front with pilasters. Hipped slate roofs. Cornice and blocking course. Seven windows, sashes with glazing bars. Pediment on entrance front has date 1844. The stucco and alterations probably date from this period. Doorway with rusticated surround on north side.

Fairwater and Taunton School form a group.
