Description
St Lawrence House is a large Georgian house with stucco-rendered and painted walls, topped by a hipped slate roof behind a high parapet. It has two storeys and features an entrance front with raised rendered quoins, a platband, and voussoirs with a keystone. Above the two bays, there are blind panels in the parapet. The house has a three-window range of small-pane sash windows, with larger tri-partite windows in the outer bays. To the left of the entrance, there is a porch with a round arched fanlight that has radial glazing, set partly within an open pediment. There is a hipped-roofed wing set back to the left. The south elevation was remodelled in the mid 19th century. The house and its associated ranges and gardens are bordered by a high stone wall along the roadside, which sweeps down to a part-railed entrance bay with gate-piers.
