Description

Bron y Gaer is a late Georgian style house that stands two storeys tall and features three bays. It is constructed of scribed stucco and has a hipped roof covered with graded slates, which extends over wide bracketed and panelled eaves. The house includes two rendered ridge stacks. The central bay is advanced and has the main entrance set back, flanked by two Ionic columns. The entrance features a replaced door with an overlight and is accompanied by round-headed, round-backed niches on either side.

On the upper storey, there is a 4-pane sash window set within a round-headed arch, along with an iron balcony that has simple neo-classical detailing. The outer bays contain tripartite 4-pane sash windows on the lower storey and 4-pane sash windows on the upper storey. To the right side of the house, there is a lower single-bay projection with a hipped slate roof and a stack on the right, which also features 4-pane horned sash windows.

The left side wall has a flat-roofed porch that is offset to the left, featuring a panelled door with an elliptical overlight facing the front of the house, and an infilled round-headed window on the side. The upper storey of the main house has a 4-pane sash window on the right. At the rear, there are replaced windows and an added two-storey wing under a flat roof on the left side. The property has not been inspected.
