Description
2 and 3 Hardwick Hill are part of a complex of four attached houses, sharing the main north-facing elevation and stepping down from the side bay of Hardwick Hill House. The entrance to number 3 faces west. The buildings are rendered and painted, featuring a Welsh slate roof behind a moulded eaves cornice and narrow rendered stacks. They are three storeys high.
The north-facing side has a three-window range of sashes, with nine panes on the top floor and twelve panes below, set in reveals and with narrow glazing bars; number 2 has two windows, while number 3 has one. The ground floor entrance to number 2 is centrally located, accessed by steps, and includes a decorative trellis canopied porch. The doorway features a six-panelled door, architraves, consoles, and a rectangular overlight with radial glazing, along with a plate glass canted bay to the left.
The uphill-facing elevation, which is the front of number 3, has a similar main two-window range and additional small rectangular central staircase lights. The central doorway has a reeded architrave, a fanlight with radial glazing, and a six-panelled door.
The interior is believed to retain original wood furnishings, including shutters, panelled reveals, and six-panelled doors.
