The Old Barn, 10 Metres North Of The Old Parsonage

The Old Barn, located 10 metres north of The Old Parsonage, is a tithe barn with origins dating back to the 16th century, though it has been significantly modified since then. It is constructed from local lias stone that has been cut and squared, with Ham stone dressings, and features a half hipped roof covered in clay pantiles. The barn is partly two storeys high and consists of five wide bays. Notable architectural elements include Ham stone angled corners and bay buttresses that have offsets up to two-thirds of the height. Each bay has pairs of ventilation slits, and there are slightly projecting porches in the central bay on both the north and south sides.

On the south side, there is an early 20th-century door with a hood in bay one, along with small pane casement windows in the upper bays one and four, which are set under timber lintels. The west gable contains casement windows and a part-glazed door. The roof frame has been renewed, and the interior has been extensively modified for the storage of furniture and other items.
