Description

This barn, located 50 metres northeast of The Parsonage Farmhouse, dates from the 16th century and later. It features a timber frame with painted weatherboarding on the south side and black weatherboarding on the other sides. The roof is gabled and covered with peg tiles. The barn consists of 9 bays and has aisles on both sides, with two gabled midstreys on each long side. It includes jowled posts, arch braces, and top plates from a 15th or 16th-century barn, with a roof and studwork likely from the 17th century. Attached to the southeast corner is a 4-bay cartlodge with a brick rear wall and a black weatherboarded outbuilding, both topped with pantile roofs.
