Description

The Cottage is an 18th-century cottage that features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a half-hipped thatched roof and a pantiled rear lean-to extension. The east end elevation is mostly covered in white weatherboarding. The building has one storey and attics, positioned at right angles to the street. It has an off-centre rectangular ridge line stack. The windows are 19th and 20th-century two-light casements, each with a single horizontal glazing bar. Inside, there is later but complete timber framing made from hedgerow timbers and a double-sided inglenook that includes remnants of a bread oven.
