Description

Poyntz Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was formerly two separate buildings. It is constructed from Doulting and local limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with brick stacks. The cottage has a picturesque "L"-shaped plan and is one storey high with an attic, comprising three bays. The windows are casements, with those on the first floor set in two coped gables that have bases for finials. There is a door opening to the left, which is a four-panelled door, and a blocked opening between the second and third bays. The right return of the cottage consists of two bays.
