Description
Flagstones is a house located on Chamberlain Street in Wells. It dates from the 18th century and was refronted in the early 19th century. The exterior is rendered with false ashlar jointing and stone dressings, all of which are colourwashed. The roof is covered with triple roll clay tiles and features coped gables and brick chimney stacks.
The house is two storeys tall and has two bays. The first bay includes a nearly full-height angled bay window with a flat roof, featuring sash windows with 4 panes above and 16 panes below on each level. The second bay has a 12-pane sash window in a plain opening on the first floor. Below this window is a 4-panel door that has an architrave and a quasi-pediment hood supported by console brackets. The interior has not been inspected.
