House in row, now converted into flats. Late C18 or early C19, but possibly incorporating earlier work to rear. Rendered and colourwashed, with stone dressings, rubble to rear, single Roman clay tiled roof with coped gable to left, ashlar stone chimney stacks. A symmetrical broad frontage with 2 gabled rear wings. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 wide bays. Plinth, plain pilaster at ends and between bays 1 and 2, cornice, plain parapet. Below, the outer bays have angled bay windows with plain sashes under lead bell-hip roofs, with plains sash windows to first floor, each bay. Above the first-floor windows is a considerable stretch (c 1m) of plain walling. Entrance in lower bay 2, a 6-panel door with rectangular fanlight, with doorcase having Doric pilasters, shallow entablature and moulded flat hood. The main ridge stack lies to the left of the entrance bay. The rear wings have steep-pitched gabled roofs. INTERIOR: not inspected.
