Description
23 Union Street is a former house that has been converted into offices, dating from the early 19th century. The building is rendered and colourwashed, featuring a clay pantiled roof with plain gables and a brick chimney stack.
The exterior consists of two storeys with an attic and two bays. It has sash windows with 16 panes in plain surrounds; the windows on the first floor are smaller, and the window in the first bay is positioned to the right to accommodate the entrance. The central entrance features a six-panel door set within a timber surround, which is adorned with Doric pilasters and an entablature. There is a raked dormer in the centre of the roof that contains a two-light casement window. At the rear and north side, there are workshop buildings that were remodelled in 1990. The interior has not been inspected.
