Description
The gatepiers and gates to Cedar Falls, located on Watts Lane in Bishop's Lydeard, date from the mid-19th century and are made of cast iron. The gatepiers are approximately two meters high and feature crocketed panels with crestings. The double gates are designed to sweep down to the center, showcasing a pattern of semi-circles against the uprights. Historical photographs indicate that these gates have been relocated about fifty meters up the drive from their original position next to Watts Lodge.
