Description

This conduit, located about 15 metres north of Maytree Cottage, dates from the mid-19th century and has been partially altered in the late 20th century. The structure is made of ashlar stone, possibly from the Douiting quarry. It features a gabled niche with a stone slate roof and a decorative poppyhead. The niche is supported by curved stepped buttresses and has a trefoil-headed opening leading to a semicircular recess that contains the conduit. A semicircular stone pavement is partly obscured by the raised roadway.
