Description
The Moore monument is a chest tomb located about 4 metres north of the chancel of the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ashill, dating from the 17th century. It is made of Ham stone and features a moulded base with plain sides and flanks. The heavy flat top is adorned with cyma-recta coving. The monument commemorates Ambrose Moore, whose death date is not readable, and his wife Alce, who died in 1663.
