Description
Block 'B', located to the southeast of the Somerset and Bath Constabulary Headquarters, is likely a former stable block dating from the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of coursed rubble with red brick and ashlar dressings. Its central section projects forward and is topped with a pediment featuring an oculus. The slate roof is adorned with bargeboards and brackets at the eaves. The windows are arranged in a 3-3-3 pattern, with round-headed windows on the ground floor and small panes of glazing. There is an impost stringcourse at the ground floor level, and double doors are positioned to the right of the central section. Block 'B' and the Headquarters building together form a cohesive group.
